In a project developed for J. Walter Thompson, we created an Augmented Reality application for the "No Pulse of Brazil" campaign, from the Ayrton Senna Institute. The design consisted of a bracelet and an application that recognized an element imprinted on it - Senna's helmet. Upon recognizing it, the app triggered an animated film that was seen on the arm of whoever wore the bracelet.
It was a very complex application to be developed, due to limitations such as the size of the image that needed to be recognized and the field where the film would be "projected" (the arm). Several iterations were necessary until we reached the desired result. A videocassette was created, showing athletes such as Henrique Rodrigues, swimming, Ana Marcela Cunha, aquatic marathon, Tiago Camilo and Felipe Kitadai, judo, Francisco Barreto, artistic gymnastics, and Fernando Reis, weightlifting, receiving and thrilling with the bracelet. The action initially estimated the production of 2,000 bracelets, but the rebound among Senna fans was so great that more than 30,000 were ordered. The application brings a link to the Institute website where you can buy the bracelet.
